- WorldClock vs. WorldClock Lite
-
- WorldClock Lite is a limited version of the WorldClock Desk Accessory for the Macintosh.
-
- Compared to the full professional version, Worldclock, the "Lite" version:
-
- -- Has only the "small" display mode;
- -- Contains fewer cities in its database;
- -- Lacks features to modify the database (add cities, edit cities);
- -- Displays only five worldwide clocks instead of seven;
- -- Lacks the ability to edit daylight saving time start/end rules when they are
- changed by local political decisions;
- -- Does not contain the feature to save monthly almanac files for your location.
-
- Although WorldClock Lite is limited in some of its features, for the more casual user,
- it may be all that is needed.
-
- Registrants of WorldClock Lite receive a copy of the latest version without the startup
- shareware notice and "agree" screen.
-
- Purchasers of the full version receive a package with a printed manual. The full version:
-
- -- Has a display that fills a standard 14" screen;
- -- Displays seven worldwide clocks;
- -- Has a larger database of locations that can be added to or edited;
- -- Saves monthly almanac files for any worldwide location and month, past, current, or
- future.
-
- For a demonstration of the appearance of the full version of WorldClock, hold down
- the option key when launching WorldClock Lite.
